Mrs. Clark’s 7th Grade Bible Class Discusses:
The Cosmic Cop
The Killjoy Myth
“‘The Killjoy Myth’ states that God is like the ‘Fun Police.’ He doesn’t allow us to have any fun.
“We think ‘God just wants to spoil it for us,’ as Don’t Check Your Brains at the Door says. We see Satan as the enjoyable devil that wants us to have fun, but in reality all he wants is for us to suffer and perish without God’s gift of eternal life.
“Just like John 10:10 states,’The thief (Satan) comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come so that [you might] have life, and have it to the full.’
“In the end the devil doesn’t care whether or not we’re happy. True happiness can only be found through God and His great and wonderful gift of eternal life.”

God wants us to have true, lasting joy.
Are we asking Him for something less?
Know what you believe…and why you believe it.

Don’t Check Your Brains at the Door gives teens answers that make sense, even for the toughest of questions:
- Does it really matter what you believe, as long as you have faith?
- Are there errors in the Bible?
- Was Jesus just a good teacher?
- Can anyone prove His resurrection?
- What does that have to do with me?
Using clarity and humor Josh McDowell and co-author Bob Hostetler expose common myths about God, the Bible, religion, and life to show how Christianity stands up to the test of fact and reason. With these solid evidences teens will be better understand the faith they live and know what they believe and why.
