In North America, Christ-centered books are available online and in stores in every community. But that’s not the case in many places — especially countries that are closed to the gospel.

Some of our field staff must print Christian books, including Josh’s titles, in secret. And some are even hand copying them because they’re so hard to come by.

In one closed country, a young man who worked in his father’s printing business was secretly producing Christian books and other materials without his father’s knowledge.

When his father found out, the son told him he had become a believer and been baptized. The father was angry and scared. He was worried this would bring shame upon the family and hurt their business.

The father kicked his son out of the family, forcing him to leave home and go into hiding in another city. His sacrifice for the kingdom has cost him everything — his livelihood and his family.

But he and the people he led to Christ have remained strong and faithful.
