Why donate to Josh McDowell Ministry?

There is a tremendous need for Josh’s books world-wide, as we regularly receive requests from foreign countries for his resources. It is only through the generous donations of others that we are able to provide these much-requested resources to truth-seeking people all over the world. Here is what donors’ giving has accomplished in the past:

  • Josh McDowell has authored and co-authored more than 150 titles, with over 50,000,000 books printed globally since 1989.
  • More than 23 million books have been printed in the United States and Canada, and more than 26 million books have been printed in more than 128 different languages and distributed in more than 150 countries worldwide.

But. . . . the need is still great. For 2020, Josh McDowell Ministry will need $19,799,000 to fulfill our most urgent requests for resources, teaching, training and ministry in more than 42 languages worldwide.

What about financial accountability?

Josh McDowell Ministry and Cru (our parent organization) are charter members of the ECFA (Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability). We have annual audits and all donations are processed through Campus Crusade for Christ.

In 2019 82% of funds given went directly to ministry—6% of funds went to general and administrative expenses and 12% of funds went to fundraising. That is actually quite a good ratio for non-profits anywhere. To review a copy of Cru’s annual report click here.
